When booking your car hire, always inquire if the price is fully inclusive. Some additional charges, like insurance or fuel fees, may be added when you collect the car.
Example: We offer optional Extended Warranty Coverage (EWC) for €3.50 per day (€4.50 per day for seven-seaters). All our cars come with comprehensive insurance, but this doesn’t cover the vehicle’s excess.
Ask about the insurance excess amount, which you’d have to pay if the car is damaged. The standard excess is €350.00 for most cars, but it’s €600.00 for seven-seaters and €400.00 for Mercedes.
You can reduce the excess. We offer optional Extended Warranty Coverage (EWC) for €3.50 per day (€4.50 per day for seven-seaters). Be cautious of quotes that exclude VAT, which might make the cost seem lower.
Make sure you understand the collection procedure. Some airport car hire companies are not located inside the terminal building. You may need to call a number or meet at a designated area. We offer a free pickup service from your home or the airport if needed.
To rent a car from RT’s Car Hire, you must present both parts of your driving license, your passport, and a valid credit card (or a family member’s credit card with a written confirmation).
Deposits can range from £150.00 to £750.00. Ensure your credit card has the necessary funds as the car hire company won’t provide the car without it. RT’s Car Hire only requires a €50.00 deposit per week, per vehicle (or 25% if renting for more than two weeks).
Read the rental agreement carefully. Ensure the amount you’re signing for matches the quoted price. Verify that no additional extras have been added without your consent. With RT’s Car Hire, The price you see is the price you pay.
Before accepting the car, inspect it thoroughly. Note any damage on the paperwork. If the supplier doesn’t acknowledge existing damage, insist on having it documented.
Example: We are happy to walk around the vehicle with you, noting any damage.
Make sure the fuel level is as agreed upon when picking up the car. Understand the required fuel level when returning it. We provide a quarter tank of fuel, and you should return the car with the same amount. Additional fuel can be added upon request.
Have a staff member check the car and agree that there is no damage before you leave. We are happy to walk around the vehicle with you, confirming there is no damage.
Drivers aged 25 to 29 can rent a car for an extra fee of €25 per day, provided they’ve held a full license for three years or more.
Yes, an extra payment of €20.00 applies for pickups before 08:00 am, after 22:30, and €30.00 for arrivals after 00:00.
